It's finished when you see command promt waiting for another command. Type Buildmod.bat followed by a space followed by the name of your mod file. Under them, we need to add an Include tag for our copy of GUPredator.xml. Delete everything between the and tags apart from the two lines: Go back up and open your copy of Mod.xml in Wordpad. Open GUPredator.xml in Wordpad and use the replace tool to swap all cases of GUPredTank_SKN with the name you exported your model to, in my case GUChally. Go back to your mod folder again and create the GDI \ Units folders and paste your copy of GDIPredator.xml in the Units folder. Now go back to the Mod SDK folder and look in CnC3Xml \ GDI \ Units folder. Go back to your mod folder and create a data folder and paste your copy of Mod.xml in your data folder. Go into this folder and look in its Data folder. You should notice there is also a SampleMod folder in the Mods folder. Inside this we need to create our Mod folder. Now back in the Mod SDK folder, there is a folder named Mods. These are simple files we can create in Wordpad that link the texture IDs to the texture files. Now we need to create xml files for each texture file. Inside this folder I have placed all my texture files and the w3x file for my challenger. Within this folder we need to create a folder named with the first two letters of our art files, in my case GU. In the MOD SDK folder, there is a folder named Art. Very polished though, with a surprising amount of good decent voice acting. To test it, we can simply replace the GDI Predator tank. Gameplay mechanics are altered, where resources are obtained purely by capturing certain structures and points on the map, no harvesting ore/tiberium. Good quality art and sound, only downside is zero voices, so you can't rely upon voice alerts (gotta pay more attention to the minimap).Īnd for something even more unusual, I'd suggest taking a look at MidEast Crisis 2 ( ), because while yes, at first glance it looks like "another Generals style game" (UN, Israelis, Terrorists), it's not exactly that.

The Forgotten ( ) adds a fourth faction, the Forgotten (mutants), along with a campaign for them.įallout ( ) changes the game into a sort of Red Alert/Generals thing but not exactly, replacing the existing factions with NATO, USSR, and Australia, setting the game in an alternate 'what if the cold war went hot' history. Naturally this means the Scrin are a bit underloved compared to GDI and Nod. Don't expect thematic consistency, but it's quite fun seeing the old-school stuff reinterpreted in the C&C3 engine.

Tiberian History ( ) on the other hand, is more of a "What if we had units from various C&C games all mashed into one mod" sort of thing. Tiberium Essence ( ) is a complete overhaul that changes the game to be a bit closer to Tiberian Sun in theme.
